Ok, well this is starting to get interesting.
I now have TWO copies of Civ 5 vanilla to give away (thanks to Kaia), so we’re going to have twice the winners

The winners have been saved from some very silly things, as there haven’t been many fan based suggestions on what to make them do to win the prize  So, if you’re looking to ‘win’, here’s some minimal requirements to get you into the draw.  The more you complete, and the earlier you complete them, the more chance you have to win!

If you haven’t been following me on Twitter, twitch.tv or Youtube, then go do that   Also, friend me on steam (hard to gift the civ 5 copy without that part).  Please let me know your steam handle via Youtube/twitch.tv message or via email – maddjinn@maddjinn.ca (this may bounce as I keep forgetting to ensure the forwarding works, so let me know if it did bounce).

Bonus points for following my ‘random personality’ on Facebook.

Send me a message on each of those platforms with the title ‘free Civ 5 giveaway’.  Ensure to add whatever nickname you’re using here in that message so that I know it’s you (on twitter, just tweet it rather than direct message).

Some ‘fun’ stuff

You don’t have to do anything in this list, but the more items completed, the closer you are to winning.

• Kaia would really like to hear some covers of Baba Yetu.  So upload them and send a link to me.  Quality not required (the attempt is the fun part) and you can keep it private on Youtube/other place and just send me a link.
• Do something ‘creative’ with the art or sounds of Civ 5.  The sky is the limit, though keep it clean and nice.
  • There’s plenty of images and video around the net, so it shouldn’t be hard to find some stuff.

• Make me a new avatar for the forums (if it’s good I’ll use it )
• Write a post here explaining why you want the free copy, how long you’ve been playing Strategy games (and Civ specifically) and if you’re going to also pick up Gods&Kings
  • Also include how you ended up here reading my blog in the first place.
• Do something random that’s not on the list.  Bonus points for awesome stuff, and actually telling me about it.

Finally

On the very next Beyond the Monument show (episode 7, airing on October 13th at 1700 UTC/1pm EDT) we will bring on participants who have completed the most of the above list.  We’ll quiz you on various Civ related topics and pick the winners live.

I think that’s about it.  Should be fun but not too weird.

Just for some clarification (as it came up elsewhere), if you’re not on Facebook, ignore the Fb part of the above.  It’s purely a ‘bonus’ – I don’t even have a normal account on it, so I’m not requiring anyone else to sign up to win the Civ 5 game either.
